The Cisco Lysaker Platform team are looking for an embedded software engineer with knowledge of wireless solutions to join our team. You will be working closely with other embedded software engineers and wireless experts as well as hardware and test engineers to develop the next Cisco collaboration devices.

+ Work with wireless implementations for Cisco video collaboration products
+ Be part of evaluation and integration of new wireless solutions for future products
+ Take part in continuously improving the test environment by writing and suggesting tests to ensure high quality solutions, together with a broader team in a CI/CD environment.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Relevant higher education and strong interest in embedded software integration of wireless solutions
+ Experience and understanding of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and relevant IEEE and Wi-Fi Alliance standards etc.
+ Experience and knowledge of C and Python
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Hands-on experience with troubleshooting wireless systems, e.g. radio frequencies (RF) link performance, reliability, and quality.
+ Knowledge and experience with real-time multimedia and network security
+ Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
+ Experience with Linux for embedded software products and development

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for the structural design, analysis, and detailing of High Voltage substations ranging from 400 kV, 132 kV, to 33 kV. The ideal candidate will focus primarily on the design of steel structures, including equipment support structures, gantries, towers, and other key substation components, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The engineer will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, safe, and optimized structural solutions for complex substation projects.
**Job Description**
**1. Qualifications and Experience**
+ **Education** : A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline) is required.
+ **Professional Registration** : Attaining Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a recognized institution such as the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
+ **Experience** : A minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in structural design is typical, with significant proven experience specifically within the high-voltage transmission and distribution utility sector.
**2. Technical Skills and Knowledge**
+ **Structural Design & Analysis** : Expertise in the design and analysis of various substation structures, including steel gantries, equipment foundations (transformers, circuit breakers, surge arresters), control buildings, and underground utilities (cable tunnels/trenches).
+ **Design Software Proficiency** : Advanced skills using structural analysis and design software are essential, such as:
+ RFEM, Idea Statica, STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or ANSYS
+ Drafting and layout tools like REVIT, TEKLA, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D
+ Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools is often preferred
+ **Codes and Standards** : Comprehensive knowledge and ability to apply relevant international and regional design codes and utility standards, including:

Timebase is the core temporal data and computation layer that powers real-time, near-real-time, and historical analytics for grid operations, planning, markets, and simulations. Anybase is the Operational Data Store.
You will manage engineers located across multiple regions and time zones, building a high-performing, inclusive team culture that enables effective collaboration at scale. You will be accountable for delivering scalable, reliable, and secure time-series and event processing capabilities that enable utilities, system operators, and energy market participants to orchestrate an increasingly distributed and decarbonized grid.
**Job Description**
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Leadership & People Management in a Global Context**
+ Lead, mentor, and grow a geographically distributed team of software engineers (and potentially data/DevOps engineers) working across multiple time zones.

+ Plan and prioritize the Timebase and Anybase engineering roadmap with product management, balancing global customer needs and regional market requirements.

+ Oversee software development, code review, testing (including automated and performance testing), and documentation to maintain high quality.

+ Define and refine global engineering processes that support distributed work: sprint rituals, backlog management, design reviews, and architectural decision records.
+ Promote high levels of test automation, observability, and proactive performance monitoring across all regions.
+ Lead blameless post-incident reviews and drive corrective and preventive actions that improve reliability and responsiveness.

**Required Qualifications**

Would you like to help the largest Private Equity (PE) firms and their portfolio companies leverage new technologies to improve their operations? Would you like to use your IT leadership experience to build relationships with technical leaders, C-level executives, and influencers at all levels across the PE segment?
As a Private Equity Solutions Architect, you will work directly with Private Equity firms, their portfolio companies, and consulting partners to help them adopt new technologies and build new solutions to make the most of the Cloud. You will be at the crossroads of business and technology, engaging with organisations at all stages of cloud adoption. You will provide thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and considering the value that technology creates for our customers. You will practice your creativity by linking technology to tangible solutions and business outcomes. You will educate PE firms and their portfolio companies about the art of the possible, defining and developing cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases. You will have the opportunity to present publicly at AWS conferences and industry events.
The ideal candidate will possess a technical background that enables them to drive customer engagement with business, finance or IT executives at the highest levels of our PE customers. You will have experience working with complex IT environments including applications, middleware, storage, networks, information security, and operations. Key job responsibilities
As a Private Equity Solutions Architect, you will work directly with Private Equity Firms and/or executives of their portfolio companies to design technology solutions to solve specific business challenges or accelerate business initiatives.
- Scoping and understand specific use cases to design appropriate AWS-based technical solutions (including, integrations with third party solutions).
- Own the technical relationship with PE firms and the C-suite of portfolio companies and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide.
- Serve as a key technical member of the AWS PE team to help ensure customer success in architecting, building, migrating, or optimizing applications and services on the AWS platform.
- Build rapport with Executives at both PE firms and their portfolio companies leveraging your understanding of enterprise architecture, merger and acquisitions, migration and cost optimization of IT infrastructure and other key technologies
- Establish technical credibility with PE firms and their portfolio companies to lead discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc. from both customer and partners across the PE segment.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance to PE firms and their portfolio companies and help develop cost optimization strategies by deploying the right architecture given their budget constraints.
- Evangelize and educate key stakeholders with the Private Equity ecosystem about AWS technologies.
- Create and capture best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in leading complex, large-scale, IT, technical or engineering programs
- Experience working in (or with) Private Equity firms, Venture Capital funds, Hedge Funds, or Investment Banking specifically defining technology strategy or IT implementations/integrations related to Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Experience working directly with customers (internal or external) in either technical pre-sales, post-sales, consulting, or customer support function.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer relationship management, especially C-suite level customer engagement
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- Experience in data science, machine learning or data mining
- Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
- Experience in specific technology domain areas like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics, experience developing and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences

**Your Impact**
As a Product Quality Engineer (PQE), you are a recognized expert within Cisco, performing complex quality engineering tasks using specialized domain knowledge. You will drive cross-functional engagement across Business Units (BU), Manufacturing (MFG), Product Operations, and Customer Experience (CX) to ensure our customers receive products of the highest quality, consistent with Cisco's brand. **Minimum Qualifications**

+ +6 years of related experience.
+ Extensive experience in Product Quality Engineering, recognized as an expert within the field.

+ **Expert Domain Knowledge:** Deep understanding of product architecture and product-level failure mechanisms.
